Green Destinations at Sugamuxi

Picture
So far (June, 2017) the region of Sugamuxi has 2 individuals recognized as 'Green Destinations Ambassadors' registered before the Green Destinations organizaton based in Leiden, The Netherlands. With them, Sugamuxi begun in 2016 the effort to spread the word about this subject and work with local stakeholders towards the recognition of Lake Tota as a Green Destination according to global criteria. That was the start.

And we hope that, in the near future more territories inside Sugamuxi accept the challenge to create community and work towards this recognition, which we believe may certainly bring sustainability and welbeing to the whole region, hand-in-hand with 'green' travellers and tourists grateful with having this special destinations to visit. If you want to know more or help Sugamuxi into this processes, or just want to give some comments on this, please contact us.

The process begun back in Aug/2016 by nominating Lake Tota for the Top-100 list on Green Destinations of the world. Although we didn't get into the list, it marked the beginning of our interest. Please check the prior link to know more about Lake Tota as a Green Destination.
