Home » Welcome » Paradise for naturalists
Sugamuxi is a region of sacred sites, and home of the indigenous Muisca culture. Scenery in this region can make eyes question their worthiness.

The nature adored by the Muiscas, which surrounds Sugamuxi, is traditionally and presently an important element of indigenous culture. One bus ride across these lands is Colombia's successful ability to present its visitors with visions and experiences of a lifetime.

The Sugamuxi region offers:
-Diverse páramos -Páramo of Ocetá,
one of the most beautiful in the world.

-Superb mountain views and rolling hills.
-Lake Tota -the largest tropical high-Andean lake in Colombia with 145 bird species registered (45 out of them as migratory from North America).

-Waterfalls, rivers, and creeks.
-Breathtaking agricultural fields.
-Wildlife, wildflowers, and wild fauna.
-And so much more!
