Páramo de Ocetá is considered by many as the most beautiful páramo in the world and is the best preserved specimen in Colombia. It belongs to the Regional Natural Park "Siscunsí - Ocetá", which covers an area of 44 km2 in the towns of Mongua, Tópaga, Monguí and Sogamoso.

  • is mega-diverse in micro habitats
  • the beauty of its scenery is unbeatable (the Andes mountains, native páramo forests, streams, boulders)
  • stores living myths and legends (the old lost city on the rocks, the sacrifice rock-table, the king box, and more)
  • the routes to reach Ocetá guide you through towns with warm people and stunning nature
  • Laguna Negra, or Black Lagoon is one of the best preserved páramo lagoons with plenty of native vegetation that can be appreciated from a distance but revered up close
  • a highlight of nature and culture from the Muisca people of the past and present
  • unique andean fauna: Condor, eagle, deers, wild rabbits, grey fox, and more.
